Scientists SAir Pollution Threatens Honeybeesay 

SUMMARY

this article is about the threats of the bees in the current environment, one study of researchers involved the pollution in the air (caused by the oil powered) with the bees health. according with the investigation the bees use the smell sense to pollinate and find the flowers and its smell sense is being affected by several parasítics and for the air contamination. In a near future this situation could cause critical consecuences for the human enviorement.

COMMENT

From my point of view the current contamination generated by the human civilation affects no only to bees, its also affects to several kind of animals, plants and insects. I consider that everyone has a responsability of reduce the pollution and of this way save the planet.

 I am going to talk about the news of a newspaper called voice of America. This history is about Philippines Plans for Disaster. 

PHILIPPINES PLANS FOR DISASTER

SUMMARY

The Philippines lies on tectonic plates at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean, for this reason, this country  suffers more natural disasters than other countries,  if the tectonics  plates move , that  could cause earthquakes and others disasters.

Philippine government has begun to use a tool that permits to identify weak structures, this tool is a map and information database and permit to make previous soil studies to estimate the risk

Ishmael Narag is a researcher of the Institute of Volcanology and Seismology. He says being prepared for disasters does not depend on technology, its depend on the prevent information that government give to the people about the risk

COMMENT

I think that the Philippine government and the others governments in the world, must implement more preventions programs for natural disasters and others kind of risks.

On the other hand, it is necessary to make a previous and rigorous soil studies in order to avoid  future disaster , for example it is the  recently case in Medellin Colombia,  where a building collapses and left many victims, don’t only  materials,  deathly too.

US, Vietnam Sign Nuclear Deal

I am going to talk about the news of a newspaper called voice of America. This history is about business between US and Vietnam.

SUMMARY 

This report talks about possible business between US and Vietnam, this situation could help to improve relationship between them and it is a new business opportunity for USA companies.

The reason by Vietnam needs nuclear technology is basically why Vietnam economy is growing quickly and although this country has oil and coal reserves, those are not enough.

 Its important know that no everyone is agree with this business, some people consider that sell nuclear technologies represents a high risk because Vietnam is on a seismic fault area with constant earthquakes.

COMMENT

From my point of view this is a good opportunity to improve the relationship between USA and Vietnam, I consider that if the USA approve the deal its necessary to have many care, this taking in mind the geographic location of Vietnam.

 All About Cats - The World's Favorite Pet

Summary

 The present article was presented by a radio station. The program showed different opinions of people that has cats like pet, this publication involved some veterinaries, owners of cats, researchers, and an American newspaper agent. this people said different characteristic about cats, such as, if cats have a good nutrition, good health care, and a safe environment, they could live until 20 years, however, cats in the wild live only about seven years; the newspaper said, that cats are the more usual pet in the world, the people prefer cats than dogs; the cats have characteristics which let the owners know what they need, how they feel and what kind of food they like even where they want to sleep and other many things more.

Personally I don’t like the pets, I consider that they require a lot of time and care, I think that the pets need the same attention that children, they are like a son. There are cats which scare me like black cats and others who inspire me tenderly. I think that the cats are beautiful animals, but I would not have a pet in my house. If someday i have a big house, and a lot of time maybe I will have a dog like a pet but not a cat.

I am going to talk about a new of a newspaper called voice of America .The current history is about technology invention that aims to save elephants and rhinos of hunters.

SUMMARY

Technology Helps Save Elephants and Rhinos 

This is an article that was written by  Jim Tedder, he presents a program of a group who are working to save the African elephants and rhinos from poachers. Initially they will focus their attention on Kenya

The group of  Wildlife Conservation Society pretends to achieve help from African governments to avoid the extinction of those animals.

They require from Governments around 80 million dollar in order to achieve the goal of reduce the killing. This investment will be for strengthening intelligence, technology GPS units for the rangers and microchip installation in animal bodies. On the other hand, Wildlife Conservation Society pretends to help rhinos too, those animals are persecuted by horns, the poachers sell the horns rhinos which are used for medical usage in others countries.

COMMENTS

I think that this is a good idea of Wildlife Conservation Society group, because recently many animals are involved in a constant abuse that only benefits to human. I think that every country should include in their government policies, different forms of protection to animals, and also protect the forest and prevent logging

In Colombia for example, the local government polices foster anti-bullfighting campaigns, and besides the parliament banned the use of animals in circuses, right now the circuses has two year maximum for stop working with animals.
